November recap
It has been an exciting month for us at Handelskade!
We kicked off the first week of November with a company-wide achievement: every team member successfully obtained their forklift certificate.
From finance to management, everyone is now certified to safely load and unload the goods handled in our warehouse.
It was a great team effort and one that reflects our hands-on mindset and commitment to operational excellence.

The week after, Menno van der Plas travelled through hashtag#Vietnam on an intensive and productive trip from the north to the central and southern regions.
Fifteen years after delivering the last vessel of a series at this shipyard, we negotiated a new contract for a French Polynesian Owner in the north with Hong Ha Shipyard, with whom we have built 12 turn-key vessels in the past. It was great to be back and reconnect with old friends. Coincidentally, a cruise vessel had just been launched, and we are now exploring the possibility of building a similar vessel.
A pleasure to continue our relationship for the coming years.
In central Vietnam, we visited PVSM Shipyard where four turn-key vessels are currently under construction. It was encouraging to see the progress and development. We also negotiated the construction of two additional vessels plus options.
In the south, we are on the verge of establishing a long-term partnership with a completely new shipyard under the DaiDung flag.
Together with German Shipbroker Toepfer, we inspected the yard and are optimistic about developing a larger series of turn-key newbuilding vessels.
Creating sufficient shipbuilding capacity together with reliable, ambitious partners is fundamental to our company’s growth.
And to round off the month, this past week the Ludwigshafen successfully completed her shipyard river trial.
A great milestone and an important step towards delivery. The trial went smoothly, and we are proud of the quality and teamwork that brought us to this point.
A month full of progress, new partnerships, and promising developments. On to the next. Let’s keep building.
