Steel cutting ceremony at DQS Shipyard
On September 18th 2024 Handelskade and her esteemed customer CMB-Boeckmans attended the steel cutting ceremony at DQS Shipyard in Vietnam for the first hull number DQS-01 out of a series of four multi-purpose dry cargo vessels of 5.000 dwt.
Handelskade has found a strong shipbuilding partner in Petrovietnam’s owned Dung Quat Shipbuilding Industry Company and intends to build-up a longterm partnership with DQS in shipbuilding for European Shipowners.
The new RINA classed Handelskade design for 5.000 dwt vessels will pave the seas for sailing at the lowest costs per tonkilometer with the lowest possible environmental footprint using electro engines and hybrid propulsion.
